Sammendrag
In 1970-1974, 7913 saithe, predominantly immature, were tagged in
northern Norway. By the end of 1976, 1204 tags (15.2 per cent) were
reported recaptured. Recaptures of spawning saithe in the North Sea
were more frequent than in earlier experiments, whereas recaptures at
Iceland were much less frequent than previously recorded. This may
be a result of the decline of the stock of Atlanto-Scandian herring which
used to be an important source of food for the spawning saithe.
A nearly identical presentation of the result of these experiments is
given in English by JAKOBSEN (1978).
