dc.description.abstract	The preliminary results of the investigations in Lindåspollene indicate that the herring has a spawning area in Syslakvågen, a feeding area in Straumsosen and a overwintering area in the deep water (30—60 m) in Spjeldnesosen. The water temperature in the overwintering area is 3—4° C and the oxygen concentration down to about 1 ml/l.	en
