| dc.description.abstract | The present paper describes the temperature and salinity conditions in the
Atlantic inflow to the Barents Sea in three hydrographic sections in 1983.
Both temperature and salinity show increasing values in 1983 compared to 1982,
especially in the eastern Barents Sea. Compared to the mean temperature for
the period 1977-83, the temperature in 1983 was about 0.8° higher in all three
sections. The ice conditions are also briefly discussed. There was considerably
less ice in 1983 than in the six previous years. | en |
