The first systematic health survey of commercially exploited flat oysters (Ostrea edulis) has been carried out since 1989. The survey was performed on two important broodstocks in traditional oyster-production areas. No abnormal mortalities was registered, nor was any serious pathogen agent detected. Based on the results, some advice for monitoring and management of the stocks has been outlined.no_NO
