| dc.description.abstract | Sprat eggs and larvae were sampled through monthly cruises
in two fjordsystems of South Eastern Norway from 1974 to 1978.
The abundance and distribution of the eggs and larvae were
studied. Eggs were found throughout the sampling period from
February to June in the Langesund area and from April to June
in the Oslofjord area, with peak abundance in April-June.
The main spawning occured in the innermost parts of the two
