Abstract
Between 1955 and 1969 tagging experiments on halibut were carried out in the Davis Strait by the Institute of Marine
Research, Directorate of Fisheries, Bergen.
The most extensive tagging took place in the years 1958, 1959 and 1961.
In 1958, 127 individuals were tagged at three different localities, and between 1958 and 1962, 13 were recaptured.
The results show that halibut migrated towards the coast of West Greenland.
